About the job

Join UKAEA as a Maintenance Systems Specialist and help support the enterprise systems that underpin the maintenance and management of our complex estate. You’ll bring technical expertise to the systems used to plan, schedule and monitor maintenance activities, helping ensure our facilities and infrastructure can support the delivery of fusion energy.

 

What You’ll be Doing

  • Provide technical support for the maintenance, configuration and development of Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS).
  • Manage system documentation, software releases and upgrades to support reliable system performance.
  • Configure and audit user roles, permissions and access controls to maintain secure access to asset and maintenance information.
  • Capture and analyse technical data and performance metrics to support the management and assurance of high-value contracts.
  • Design and implement system configuration workflows in line with best practice.
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for continuous improvement across systems and processes.
  • Resolve document and procedure queries, escalating issues where appropriate.
  • Provide guidance, training and coaching to support effective system adoption and use.
  • Support user training and adoption programmes for new and existing systems.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • An HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, such as Computing or Engineering.
  • Experience working with Enterprise Asset Management Systems, such as IBM Maximo, SAP or Mainsaver.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of configuration management.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, such as SFG20, Uniclass, NBS, RICS or the ISO 55000 series.
  • Experience working with and managing system integrations, such as Facilities IQ or Common Data Environments.
  • Proficiency with data and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI or Data Studio.

UKAEA is an onsite organisation, and this role requires regular onsite presence (usually between 3-5 days in any given week) in line with business needs. We actively support flexible working arrangements where this is compatible with the role.

  • A salary of £43702 (inclusive of a £3000 specialist allowance)   
  • Up to 7% corporate performance bonus

  • 3 days of site closure over Christmas break
