Overview of Responsibilities

This role can be based at can any of the following sites; Culham, Oxfordshire

This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.

  • Ensure that staff safety, health and welfare are maintained and adhered to in accordance with company policies and procedures. 
  • Actively promote UKAEA’s values, championing a culture of equality, diversity, and inclusion. 
  • Support the effective and safe implementation of written and verbal instructions from the Facility Supervisors. 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Act as an interface between the Facility Supervisors and the ASW teams in the BeHF, MDF and J25 ISO Storage Compound. 
  • To act as lead when progressing work within BeHF, MDF and J25 ISO Storage Compound, and other Group tasks as required. 
  • Provide feedback on the progress of task-based activities to the Facility Supervisors and Facilities Operations Manager. 
  • Contribute to facility planning activities in conjunction with facility management team.  
  • Contribute to documentation and data uploads to uphold facility compliance.  
  • Conduct regular work area walk arounds to ensure upkeep of work areas.  
  • Work in accordance with UKAEA policy and undertake any other reasonable tasks or duties requested by your manager.
