Department Administrator
Overview of Responsibilities
- Provide diary management for the Directors of Commercial, Finance, and Legal
- Act as the first point of contact for queries, resolving issues or escalating as needed
- Arrange UK and international travel, accommodation, and visitor transport in line with UKAEA procedures
- Process and reconcile Government Purchase Card transactions, escalating queries where required
- Accurately enter and maintain finance and procurement data, including purchases, supplier updates, and invoices
- Support meetings and events, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and catering arrangements
- Process expense claims in accordance with UKAEA procedures
- Coordinate onboarding, role changes, and leavers, and support recruitment activity including interview logistics and candidate coordination
- Work in line with UKAEA policies and undertake other reasonable duties as required
Qualifications
- Proven administrative experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Flexible and adaptable to a range of administrative duties
- Discreet, professional, and trustworthy in handling sensitive information
