About the job

Join UKAEA’s Commercial team as a Compliance Assistant and help ensure our procurement activities meet UKAEA, DESNZ and Cabinet Office requirements. You’ll support the systems, data and assurance processes that underpin effective procurement, helping UKAEA deliver the goods and services needed to advance fusion energy.

 

What You’ll be Doing

  • Maintain accurate data & databases in support of the Commercial function.
  • Use the U4BW procurement module to support day-to-day procurement activities.
  • Collate and prepare internal and external reports.
  • Carry out compliance checks for the creation and amendment of vendors in U4BW.
  • Provide guidance and support to users through helpdesk tickets.
  • Support the delivery of U4BW training for Requisitioners and Responsible Officers.
  • Undertake checks as assigned by the P2P Compliance Manager to support the P2P (Purchase to Pay) assurance processes.
  • Deputise at CAB meetings to support system changes when required.
  • Act as a superuser for the Contract Management System, eTendering portal and other assigned systems.
  • Support the effective management of the shared email inbox.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Five GCSEs, including Maths and English Language.
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement principles.
  • Experience using an integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Office or administrative experience, including practical use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience handling and manipulating numerical data to produce accurate reports.
  • Experience using commercial information to support purchasing decisions.

UKAEA is an onsite organisation, and this role requires regular onsite presence (usually between 3-5 days in any given week) in line with business needs. We actively support flexible working arrangements where this is compatible with the role.
