Senior Commercial Property Manager

Overview of Responsibilities

This role will based at the following site; Culham, Oxfordshire.

This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.

The Role

The United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority’s (UKAEA) Culham Campus is a globally recognised national hub for fusion technology and related research. As well as operating its own fusion facilities and offices, UKAEA hosts over 40 current tenants and innovation companies, underpinning its corporate goal “to create places that accelerate innovation and develop skilled people for industry to thrive”. With the launch of our Framework Masterplan in July 2022, we are at the start of the exciting journey to deliver our vision for the Culham Campus by 2050. We are seeking a passionate and collaborative professional to join our growing Campus Development Team. As Senior Commercial Property Manager you will work closely with the Head of Campus and Property Development to plan and implement the masterplan and support our aspirations for growth. The role will also involve asset managing our commercial property portfolio and programme of development.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Head of Campus in the development and implementation of the future property strategy for Culham (and Rotherham and other UKAEA sites), to assist in achieving the UKAEA’s strategic vision.  
  • Promoting Culham as a major international centre for research and technology, and as a key business and employment location in Oxfordshire. 
  • Management of land ownership and legal issues, acquisitions, and disposals, planning matters, asset valuation, business rates, etc.  
  • Guiding on the management of the Commercial Property Management team and all tenancy and UKAEA leasing matters. 
  • Managing the full breadth of asset management responsibilities including lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals.
