Visits & Internal Events Manager

Overview of Responsibilities

This role involves responsibility for all elements of stakeholder visits to UKAEA sites – ranging from politicians and other VIPs to government, industry and research partners – making sure that our visitors have a high quality experience and that visit objectives are achieved. It also includes responsibility for the company’s roster of internal events; managing individual events to an excellent standard and developing a programme of high quality staff events to inform and engage UKAEA’s people.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Manage and coordinate UKAEA’s programme of stakeholder visits, from enquiry through to delivery.
  • Act as the primary contact for visit requests, overseeing scheduling, logistics and planning.
  • Advise senior stakeholders on visit objectives, delivery and outcomes.
  • Host and escort visitors, ensuring a professional, safe and engaging experience.
  • Support UKAEA sites in delivering consistent, high-quality visitor experiences.
  • Recruit, train and manage volunteer guides and presenters for stakeholder visits.
  • Develop and improve visit management processes, systems and reporting.
  • Plan and deliver internal engagement events, including staff awards, receptions and organisation-wide events.
  • Lead event delivery teams and provide guidance on event management across the organisation.
  • Produce risk assessments and ensure compliance with safety and security procedures for visits and events.
