Employees of UKIFS can be based at either of our sites; West Burton, Nottinghamshire or Culham, Oxfordshire
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions.
The Role
Are you ready to shape the future of talent acquisition for a cutting-edge organisation? UK Industrial Fusion Solutions Ltd (UKIFS) is seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Manager to build and lead our talent acquisition strategy from the ground up.
As part of the STEP Programme, a pioneering fusion power initiative, you’ll play a crucial role in growing an organisation of under 250 employees, supporting a large, complex programme involving industry partners and a multi-billion-pound budget.
What You’ll Do:
- Build from scratch: Establish systems, processes, and strategies for immediate and future growth.
- Strategic and hands-on: Balance high-level planning with day-to-day recruitment for niche roles.
- Job design & evaluation: Develop methodologies tied to position management, pay, and retention.
- Value proposition: Define and communicate our employee value proposition to attract top talent.
- Collaborate & align: Work with leadership, partners, and stakeholders on workforce planning.
- Embed our values: Integrate our values into recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement.
- Champion diversity: Lead initiatives that promote ED&I within our talent acquisition practices.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring:
- Experience building and leading talent acquisition functions, ideally within complex programmes.
- Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on recruitment.
- Expertise in job design, evaluation, ED&I compliance, and linking pay to business strategy.
- Proven success in onboarding, retention, and creating a positive employee experience.
- Data-driven, with experience presenting recruitment insights to senior leaders.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
