Senior Financial Processes Officer (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Expenses)
Overview of Responsibilities
Who are we looking for?
Working in a team and being part of a world leading organisation. Interacting with other parts of UKAEA and helping to resolve queries. Producing reports showing key data and metrics about the processes function. The Senior Financial Processes Officer will carry out and be responsible for a range of tasks within the Authority’s Financial Processes (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Expenses) function.
What will you be responsible for?
- Producing reports showing key data and metrics about the processes function
- Processing purchase invoices, sales invoices & travel and subsistence expense claims
- Maintaining the accuracy of the supplier and customer database.
- Providing support to other members of the team, including training apprentices
- Resolving queries
- Providing support, guidance, and documentation to internal and external customers about the processes function
Qualifications
Essential skills, experience and competence required
- Strong time management skills including the ability to prioritise the workload
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work as a team player & under their own initiative
- Intermediate Excel (basic formulas, vlookups, pivot tables etc.)
- Flexibility
Desirable skills, experience and competence
- Experience with using an accounting ERP system (Oracle, SAP, U4BW) including processing of supplier invoices
- Additional experience with sales invoicing or travel & subsistence processing
