Overview of Responsibilities
Who are we looking for?
We have an excellent opportunity for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our organisation where you will spend 80% of your time developing your general work-related skills and 20% on obtaining professional qualifications. Full training will be provided throughout your apprenticeship, and UKAEA has a dedicated Early Careers Team to support your journey and a nurturing community that learns from each other.
This role provides the exciting opportunity to work with Marketing and the wider External Communications Team, including Events and Social Media. Reporting into the Marketing Manager, it gives the successful applicant a range of experiences across the marketing discipline.
Within the 20% training and development, you will be required to enrol with a training provider to complete a suite of activities designed to develop your professional qualifications. This may be completed on day release or block release dependent on the apprenticeship standard you are completing.
You will be naturally curious and will enjoy probing and asking questions to steer you through your development. Having a great attitude to personal development, your enthusiasm will drive your learning in this exciting environment. This together with your excellent communication skills, ability to manage your time and priorities as well as working well in a team will bring you success.

All candidates are required to meet the essential requirements set out below. Please address in your application how you meet the following:
Excellent IT Skills (Mac or PC)
Have a creative outlook on work and the ability to solve problems logical
Experience working as part of a team (this could be in a sporting, educational, work or social setting) as well as demonstrating use of own initiative
Be self-motivated with a ‘can-do’ flexible approach to work
Good attention to detail and can copy/transfer information accurately
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
Effectively able to follow both verbal and written instructions
Ability to provide a customer focussed service
What is the recruitment process?
All applications will be initially reviewed by our Early Careers Team and there will be a requirement to complete online testing that will help to support your application.
Once this has been reviewed, successful applications will be invited to a more in depth virtual interview where you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your abilities and aptitude in a range of different situations. You may be required to attend a final in person meet and greet session to support decision making around the role and for you to have the opportunity to see where you may be working!
